AEGON Religare Life Insurance Company Limited (ARLI), is a three-way joint venture between AEGON of the Netherlands (26%), Religare (44%) and Bennett, Coleman & Company Limited (30%).

Life insurance is a long gestation, capital intensive business and in order to ensure conservation of capital, ARLI follows an asset-light model, whereby we have a presence in 118 hand-picked business locations across India. Further, we have leveraged the benefits of technology and were the first in India to introduce online-only term and unit linked policies. This has resulted in lower cost policies and more conservative, but, concrete growth.

We offer a comprehensive portfolio of pure insurance solutions, investment linked plans and guaranteed savings plans with a bouquet of products under each.

We have insured over 150,000 lives, leading to a cumulative sum assured of INR 96.5 billion. Despite challenging industry conditions, we delivered a growth of 83% in new business premium in FY 11.
