As the Group Chief Executive Officer of Religare Enterprises Limited, Shachindra leads the entire integrated financial services business of the Religare Group. Religare’s financial services bouquet spans across Non-Banking Finance, Retail Broking, Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Mutual Fund, Global Capital Markets, Investment Banking and Global Asset Management.
As one of the key founding team members at Religare, Shachindra has been a core pillar of Religare’s successful growth journey in the last 14 years. He joined Religare in the year 2000.
Under his leadership, Religare has grown from a mono line broking led business to a diversified financial services major. Some of his marquee achievements include successfully leading the IPO process for Religare in 2007, considered to be one of the most successful IPO’s in India, establishing new businesses and stitching together successful joint ventures and partnerships for the Group and raising funds through multiple private equity transactions.
Under Shachindra’s guidance, Religare has transitioned into a performance orientated, bottom line focused organization and has successfully evolved from an investment phase company to a growth oriented company, ready to capture growth opportunities on a self-sustaining basis.
Shachindra is a qualified lawyer and is a University Rank holder from the Benares Hindu University. A great motivator and leader, when not at work he loves to read, contribute to columns, travel and spend time with his family.
Mr. Anil Saxena, Group
Chief Finance Officer, Religare Enterprises Limited, plays a crucial
role in supervising the operations of Group Treasury, Finance, Accounts
and Risk function for the organization. He played a key role in the
organization's journey integrating various acquisitions done during the
course of its business. He has over 20 years of experience in the
financial services industry and is with Religare since the past 10
Mr. Kamlesh Dangi plays a crucial role in the management and supervision of the Company's human resource development. Prior to joining Religare, he has worked with ICICI Bank and was handling Wholesale and International Banking Compensation at group level, HR systems and other similar portfolios. He has also spent two years in ICICI Bank, United Kingdom setting up the operations for the bank. He has over 16 years of work experience across various organizations such as ICICI Bank, Shopper's Stop and Toyo Engineering and has been with Religare for the past 3 years.
In his capacity as MD & CEO, Anuj is responsible for setting up this business and working towards making Religare as one the dominant players in the Indian Health Insurance industry. In his last role at ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company Limited, Anuj was the Director for Services and Business Development. Previously, he has been an entrepreneur and started his career as a financial analyst with Procter & Gamble India Ltd.
Gautam has over 20 years of experience in the financial services and capital markets domain. In his current role as the CEO, Religare Capital Markets (India), he oversees institutional equitiy sales, research and investment banking. Prior to his role at Religare he was associated with Goldman Sachs for more than 7 years. He was MD and Head of Sales in India and a member of the Board of Directors of Goldman Sachs India Private Limited. He had also served as Executive Director, Asian Equity Sales in Hong Kong. Prior to Goldman Sachs, he was Vice President, Corporate Finance for Reliance Industries in Mumbai. Gautam has also worked with large global financial services organizations such as Merrill Lynch, CLSA and Jardine Fleming.
Mr. Kavi Arora manages the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) focused commercial lending business of our NBFC, Religare Finvest Limted. With a commitment to helping realize the dreams of India's entrepreneurs he spearheads the company's vision of partnering with their clients as they grow to new heights. With over 17 years of diverse experience in Banking and Financial Services, Kavi has worked with organizations such as ABN AMRO Bank, GE Capital, Citifinancial and 20th Century Finance, prior to joining Religare.
As CEO of a multi-boutique asset manager, Religare Global Asset Management (RGAM), Nalin and his team are responsible for alignment of interest between RGAM and its affiliates for long-term sustainable value creation, ensure that synergies are leveraged across businesses and continue to build the platform both organically and through acquisitions. Nalin has over 22 years of experience in the financial services industry across the U.S., Europe and Asia. He started his career in investment banking in New York with Citigroup, and relocated to London in 1998, he joined Lehman Brothers in 2000 in London. And moved back to India with Lehman in 2006 as part of the team that developed and grew Lehman’s India business. He returned to Citi in 2008, but this time in Mumbai. Nalin completed his schooling in India principally at the Cathedral and John Connon School in Mumbai and the Lawrence School, Sanawar. He obtained his BA degree (with Honors) from Middlebury College in the U.S. and has an MBA from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA.
As the MD & CEO of Religare Securities Limited, Nitin oversees the entire retail capital markets and commodities businesses. He has been associated with the Religare group for 10 years. Prior to his current role, he was the President & Chief Operating Officer for Religare Health Insurance responsible for driving sales, distribution, business development and marketing. Previously he also headed Religare’s Personal Financial Services(PFS) and Portfolio Management(PMS) businesses. Before joining Religare, Nitin also worked in the corporate treasury functions of various large organizations both in India and overseas. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant with almost 20 years of multi-faceted experience.
As MD & CEO, Saurabh oversees all functions including strategy, investments, operations and sales in India and has been instrumental in the successful establishment and growth of the mutual fund business, since its inception in 2008. Under his leadership, the AMC acquired the operations of Lotus Mutual Fund at the peak of the global crisis in November 2008, grew the business manifold, both locally and globally in the 2009-2012 period and subsequently concluded the Joint Venture with Invesco in March 2013.
His last assignment was with HDFC Standard Life Insurance as Chief Investment Officer; overseeing USD 2 bn across asset classes. Prior to HDFC Standard Life Insurance, he was with Deutsche Asset Management for 4 years. He spent the first 20 months with Deutsche Asset Management in India, as Head of Institutional Sales, when they started their operations. He subsequently moved to Singapore as the Business Manager for their Asia (Ex-Japan) region, primarily focused on general management and overseeing day-to-day operations. He played a pivotal role in establishing Deutsche's Asset Management Joint Venture in China with Harvest Asset Management. His earlier assignments include stints with multinational institutions like Reuters and HSBC India. Saurabh holds an Electronics Engineering degree and is an MBA in Finance from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies. He is also a Director on the Board of Association of Mutual Funds of India (AMFI) and Chairs the Committee of Compliance and Operations of AMFI.
Sutha Kandiah is Chief Executive Officer of RCM’s International business. Previously, he was at UBS Investment Bank and was the Co-Head for Equity Capital Markets – Asia, Co-Head for Equity Capital Markets – Japan and Head of Singapore / Malaysia Investment Banking. He has over 18 years of industry experience and has lived and worked in Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Sydney.
